Humber will open its doors for the 18th annual Doors Open Toronto from May 27 to May 28, 2017. During the event, people will have free and rare access to 150 architecturally, culturally, historically and socially significant sites throughout the city with tours, activities and information.
Humber’s Lakeshore Campus will showcase Canadian architecture with new and repurposed buildings, including the campus’s famous cottages and tunnels, recently opened Student Welcome and Resource Centre designed by Moriyama and Teshima architects, and the Centre for Entrepreneurship (G Cottage) – the last of the historic cottages to be restored – complete with multi-purpose rooms, an event space and collaborative meeting spaces geared towards entrepreneurial studies.
This year, Humber will feature a special guided architect tour from Moriyama and Teshima architects, with the help of PCL Construction, on Saturday, May 27 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Student Welcome and Resource Centre.
Doors Open Toronto 2017 is part of TO Canada with Love, the City of Toronto's year-long program of celebrations, commemorations and exhibitions marking Canada's 150th birthday.
