Deputy Chief Daniel J. McDonald is a 32 year member of the Peel Regional Police. Rapidly rising through the ranks, Daniel has worked in the Intelligence Bureau, the Criminal Investigation Bureau, and has held the positions of uniformed staff sergeant, senior officer, inspector, officer in charge of uniform patrol, officer in charge of the Professional Standards Bureau, staff superintendent and his current role of deputy chief. Daniel’s work has included involvement in homicides, the drug squad and the Special Investigations Unit. He has twice received Exemplary Service Awards awarded by the Governor General of Canada.
