The School of Creative and Performing Arts is the multidisciplinary home to ten internationally recognized arts programs taught by working industry professionals. We train artists in the art, business, and production specific to their industries, fostering transferrable skills.

Duke Ellington, one of the most famous musicians in history, came to Humber to give workshops in March of 1973.

Edward Albee, famous playwright
Edward Albee, famous playwright – wrote Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, came to Humber to teach in our Creative Writing workshop.
2003
Bachelor of Music program
In 2003 we launched the Bachelor of Music program and in 2007 we graduated our first Bachelor of Music degree students.

Mike Myers, world famous comedian
Mike Myers – world famous comedian – came to work with our Humber Comedy students in mid 2000's and later returned to receive an honorary degree

The Centre for Creative Business Innovation
Currently we are embarking on an historical collaboration with The Business School and the School of Media Studies & Information Technology to create the Centre for Creative Business Innovation.
